Larch/Tamarack
A tree naturally
found in mountains
of Europe. It is a deciduous, coniferous tree up to 50 m high, with a
greyish-brown
bark, falling off in small plates. It is widely planted but now is
regenerating
naturally from seed in many places. It was introduced to Britain in the
1620’s.
Medical
Uses
Chronic fatigue and
viral
hepatitis reducer, Colds and Sore throat preventative, Immune system
booster
and cancer fighting properties: Chewing the fresh raw plant bark for
its
sap to coat the mouth, throat and air ways or ground bark extract
(400mg)
when fresh bark not available or for just boosting the immune system,
taken
up to 3 times daily.
