Rhubarb
The Turkish Rhubarb
root contains
vitamin A, many of the B complex, C, and P; calcium, chlorine, copper,
iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, silicon,
sodium,
sulphur, and zinc.
One of the main
ingredients
of ESSIAC compound tea which is used in the treatment of cancer,
tumours,
and immune system enhancement.
Medical
Uses
Chronic Liver
Disease and
Liver Cleanser: Taken as a tonic tea, ½ teaspoon dried powder
root
diluted in 1-3 glasses of warm or hot water and sipped.
Gentle Laxative:
Small dosage
of powder root in a tea can stimulating the secretion of bile into the
intestines and stimulates the gall duct to expel toxic waste matter
causing
some diarrhoea. Do not excessively consume though.
Cancer reducing
properties:
Mixing with 3 other herbs it has been used as an affective treatment to
rid cancer of the liver and other tumours on internal organs (see

Sorrel.)
