Hello my name is Blaine G.
Dares, I want to welcome you to the Smart Shopper. Now the first
question you probably want to know, how to receive everything I just listed
above for free. So let me start off by asking you a few basic questions
to better understand all of this.
Did you know that every product/service
company has a customer service department and that the reason for the customer
service department existing is to make you, their valued customer, happy?
Do you know how they accomplish
this?
Each customer service representative
has been given the power to grant very limited but special requests to
keep
their loyal and valued customers
happy.
IE: Last week, I called my
cable company to complain of my reception and I received Three months
of free
cable and the problem
was later not to be the cable company but the weather's fault. The
cable company still
kept their promise and rewarded
me with three months of free service mainly in part as
“I was a very loyal customer
that always ensured my account was kept current.”
A few months ago, I called
my cellular company to complain that I was getting poor reception and I
received a
free month of service
and one-year plan upgrade.
For the winter, my fiancée
and myself flew to Florida from Alberta Canada on Delta Airlines.
We sat behind a child who kicked my seat, yelled and screamed all the way
there. I wrote to Delta Airlines regarding my complaint and I received
Two
First Class Round Trip Tickets To Anywhere’s Delta Airlines Flies.
These are just a few examples
of what I have received for complaining about a company’s service.
You do not have to complain
to receive free products/services. For example, I expressed my opinion
to the hotel management of a very luxurious hotel in Edmonton Alberta,
called Fantasy Land Hotel and Resorts. I was
impressed with the level
of service but unfortunately being high season I could not afford the $300.00/night
for the theme rooms they wanted for the weekend. I told the hotel management
that I was very impressed and they asked
me what room I was staying
in. I told them a standard room as I could not afford the extra $300.00
for both nights
to stay in a theme room.
The next thing I know I am upgraded to the very theme room I could
not afford and a
one day all-inclusive
attractions pass and dinner for myself and my fiancée.
All because I spent the time
to tell the hotel management
what I thought about their level of service.
Why
Do Companies Giveaway Free Products & Services?
To keep their very valuable
and loyal customers happy. Remember, a happy customer is a repeat customer
and a repeat customer will bring a lifetime of business and referrals.
If a company has to allow some special rewards to go along with it, then
the few free things they throw in to maintain their customer loyalty will
pay for itself in a lifetime of business. Most people do not take advantage
or do not know that things like this even exist. If you contact the right
customer service representative and are friendly you too can get many free
rewards. Now would be a good time to mention the saying
“You can catch more flies
with honey than you can with sand paper.” If you do not mind
being sweet instead of
hurtful, even though you
are upset you can get almost anything within reason.
IE: If I am upset at
a product or service I will call the company and express my frustration.
I will not yell or scream
at the customer service
representative but rather in a calm, rational, puppy dog sweet voice, express
to them my dissatisfaction. The general response I receive from them is
typically:
“Well Mr. Dares,
we really want you as our valued customer. How can we make it up to you?”
As soon as you are asked
this question, you have the world at your doorstep. Ask for what
you want within reason and you can almost be guaranteed to receive it.
You must take the initiative
and contact these departments yourself usually through traditional paper
mail, and/or telephone. Various companies handle their customer service
issues differently, so you need to know what the best method for contacting
that particular customer service department.
The best way to contact a
company is usually by writing them a letter, as this will show credibility
that you are a valued customer. To find the address simply look in the
yellow pages, on your invoices or if this is a store product
this information will usually
be on the product itself.
The letter you write will
either be a "Complaint,"
"Suggestion,"
or "Praise".
I
have provided you with all the letters you will need so you can copy, paste
and modify the letters to suit your own needs.
I want to move from services
and more into store purchased products as this is where you will really
receive the most value in our program. Click
Here for a list of
products I have received for free just by following what you are about
to learn.
Why
Do Manufactures Giveaway Free Products?
Manufactures know that you have
a very busy lifestyle and often base their marketing campaigns around this
fact. They know that you have taken your valuable time to write your praise,
suggestion or complaint and you care about the company’s interest to take
this initiative.
Since they value your comments
and want your loyal patronage. You will often be presented with product
vouchers. Product vouchers are like coupons only for free products
and not cents off. The more feedback product companies receive from
their customers the less they have to look towards expensive market surveys
and costly evaluations. Since the manufacture makes the product themselves,
it will cost them almost nothing to send you product vouchers to be used
at your supermarket.
In summary, you win because
you receive free products/services and they win because they receive valuable
customer feedback at a lot less than they typically pay for this same information
through evaluations and surveys.
Getting
Started
Go and get all the products
you would like to receive free that retail for $20.00 or less. Higher
priced items will usually result in valuable manufacture rebates.
Copy, paste and edit one
of the three forms I have provided you which are either the
"Complaint,"
"Suggestion,"
or "Praise".
Cut out and include the Universal
Product Code in the envelope. This shows the product manufacture that you
use that brand. Likewise, if you do not mind public dumpster diving in
the trash you can get almost any product code that you would like.
Once you have your letter
and product code ready to go, mail all the letters and wait for the Product
Vouchers to start pouring in. Now you might be thinking to yourself:
“As great as this sounds
these manufactures would surely not continue sending me free products/services
for every letter I write to them, right?”
Wrong, for every different
letter that I have sent out, I have always received product voucher(s).
However, just in case they stop sending you free product vouchers here
are some suggestions.
First, every 90 days
you can repeat the process with the same item and if they continue to send
you free product vouchers, you can continue to get free items.
Second, tell them
that you are a consumer news reporter and you would like to evaluate their
product/service to be featured in an upcoming edition. All manufacture/service
companies know that if their product/service exceeds your expectations
they will receive free advertising and this will translate into thousands
of dollars worth of additional sales that otherwise would not have been
received. Product Manufactures have no problem trading their products/services
for the chance to be featured in a consumer news report.
Then write your report and
send it out to your friends, family, readers if you are an e-zine publisher
and of course send at least one copy back to the product manufacture and
repeat the process.
Third, write to a
competing manufacture sending along their UPC and I can guarantee that
you will receive another free voucher for more valuable products/services.
Four, become a mystery
shopper. Mystery Shoppers are people that are paid for their
time and receive free products/services in exchange for evaluating that
store and their level of customer service. For more information look
in Search Engines under Keyword: “Mystery Shopper.”

Why
Do Companies Giveaway Free Vacations Instead Of Selling Them?
First I need to make this
point very clear. None of these free vacations are for Time-Share.
You do not need to qualify and there are no presentations to view.
These are the exact same vacations you now enjoy but FREE.
It all starts with the air
line, car rental company, cruises and lodging industry. We will use
the lodging industry for our example. At the beginning of the year
(using a year to make it easy,) the resorts will forecast the number of
rooms they will sell for the next year. On average, resorts will sell 70%
of their rooms for the year. That leaves 30% of the rooms unsold.
Now let's put this in numbers
to make more meaning for you:
If a 500-room resort has
30% of their rooms left unsold for a year, that means they lose revenue
on 55,000 room sales. If the average room sells for only $200 per night,
this means the resort loses out on $11,000,000 over the year.
In order for the resorts
to salvage as much revenue as possible, they sell the forecasted, unsold
rooms to brokers for pennies on the dollar as they receive many benefits
in exchange:
Free exposure.
Profit when you dine.
Profit when you shop.
Your word of mouth advertising.
Possibility that you may return
to the resort for a full-priced stay.
The brokers, in an effort to
book the rooms, distribute them to dealers. The dealers then present them
in one form or another to the public. Many dealers will sell you the accommodations
through their travel agencies but there are those that just giveaway vacations.
These companies receive commissions
on the total number of weeks booked not individual bookings. The best way
to maximize their bookings is to give vacations away.
Therefore, these resorts
do not want you to know this information so they can book their suites
at full price. Meaning more profit for the resort.
Where
Do you Find Free Vacations?
Although I do not personally
endorse any of the companies listed below I will suggest that you look
in the Search Engines with Keyword “Free Vacations.” Believe
me, they are out there but here are a few vacations companies. Please
understand that all port charges, airport taxes, departure taxes,
car rental insurance & tax, gratuities, hospitality, service fees,
travel insurance, provincial/state, and federal taxes are your responsibility
and are always charged on free vacation travel. Tour operators have
no other choice but to collect these fees. Typically a Free Vacation that
retails for $2000 will cost you on average $565 in above mentioned fees.

Secrets
To Free Airfares
Virtually all major airlines
offer free travel vouchers, rebates or cash compensation. The secret to
receiving this is to plan ahead for all of your flights. By allowing yourself
flexibility in your flight schedule you can be one of the lucky people
that receives the free airfare, rebates or cash compensation.
When you book your flight
always ask your travel agent what prime time flights to avoid because of
overbooking? If the flight you were thinking of taking is almost
full, several days ahead of the departure date. That flight is a
prime candidate to be overbooked and the one you want.
Always show up for your flight
at least 1 ½ hours ahead of your departure time and check in. Make
sure that you sit as close to the flight desk located next to the doors
that your flight departs from. Let the flight attendant know that if they
are overbooked, you and those flying with you are willing to depart on
a latter flight in return for free travel vouchers, rebates or cash compensation
(always request free travel vouchers first.) The flight that you are on
is already paid for and covers your present flight. The travel vouchers
that you receive will be used on your next trip or vacation.
If you have connecting flights
you will also be able to receive free travel vouchers, rebates or cash
compensation from them. Should you be required to stay overnight to make
the next flight the airlines will supply you with hotel accommodations,
cab fare or a ride to the hotel, free phone calls and a meal allowance.
Overbooking is not illegal,
and most airlines overbook their scheduled flights to a certain extent
in order to compensate for "no-shows." Passengers are sometimes left behind
or "bumped" as a result. When an oversell occurs, the Department of Transportation
(DOT) requires airlines to ask people who aren't in a hurry to give up
their seats voluntarily, in exchange for compensation. Those passengers
bumped against their will are, with a few exceptions, entitled to compensation.
DOT requires each airline
to give all passengers who are bumped involuntarily a written statement
describing their rights and explaining how the carrier decides who gets
on an oversold flight and who doesn't. Those travelers who don't get to
fly are frequently entitled to an on-the-spot payment of denied boarding
compensation. The amount depends on the price of their ticket and the length
of the delay:
If you are bumped involuntarily
and the airline arranges substitute transportation that is scheduled to
get you to your final destination (including later connections) within
one hour of your original scheduled arrival time, there is no compensation.
If the airline arranges substitute
transportation that is scheduled to arrive at your destination between
one and two hours after your original arrival time (between one and four
hours on international flights), the airline must pay you an amount equal
to your one-way fare to your final destination, with a $200 maximum.
If the substitute transportation
is scheduled to get you to your destination more than two hours later (four
hours internationally), or if the airline does not make any substitute
travel arrangements for you, the compensation doubles (200% of your fare,
$400 maximum).
You always get to keep your
original ticket and use it on another flight. If you choose to make your
own arrangements, you can request an "involuntary refund" for the ticket
for the flight you were bumped from. The denied boarding compensation is
essentially a payment for your inconvenience.
Like all rules, there are
a few conditions and exceptions:
To be eligible for compensation,
you must have a confirmed reservation. An "OK" in the Status box of your
ticket qualifies you in this regard even if the airline can't find your
reservation in the computer, as long as you didn't cancel your reservation
or miss a reconfirmation deadline.
You must meet the airline's
deadline for buying your ticket. Discount tickets must usually be purchased
within a certain number of days after the reservation was made. Other tickets
normally have to be picked up no later than 30 minutes before the flight.
In addition to the ticketing
deadline, each airline has a check-in deadline, which is the amount of
time before scheduled departure that you must present yourself to the airline
at the airport. For domestic flights most carriers have a deadline of 10
minutes before scheduled departure, but some can be an hour or longer.
(Many airlines require passengers with advance seat assignments to check
in 30 minutes before scheduled departure, even if they already have advance
boarding passes. If you miss this deadline you may lose the specific seats
you were promised, although not the reservation itself.) Check-in deadlines
on international flights can be as much as three hours before scheduled
departure time, due partially to security procedures. Some airlines may
simply require you to be at the ticket/baggage counter by this time; most,
however, require that you get all the way to the boarding area. If you
miss the ticketing or check-in deadline, you have lost your reservation
and your right to compensation if the flight is oversold.
The rules do not apply to
charter flights, or to scheduled flights operated with planes that hold
60 or fewer passengers. They don't apply to international flights inbound
to the United States, although some airlines on these routes may follow
them voluntarily. Also, if you are flying between two foreign cities-from
England to Rome, for example these rules will not apply. The European Community
has a rule on bumpiness that occur in an EC country; ask the airline for
details, or contact DOT.

Vacation
Travel Scams
Unlike most products, travel
services usually have to be paid before they are delivered. This creates
opportunities for disreputable individuals and companies. Some travel packages
turn out to be very different from what was presented or what the consumer
expected. Some don't materialize at all! If you receive an offer by phone
or mail for a free or extremely low-priced vacation trip to a popular destination
(often Hawaii or Florida), there are a few things you should look for:
Does the price seem too good
to be true? If so, it probably is.
Are you asked to give your credit
card number over the phone?
Are you pressured to make an
immediate decision?
Is the carrier identified as
"a major airline"?
Is the representative unable
or unwilling to give you a street address for the company?
Are you told you can't leave
for at least two months? (The deadline for disputing a credit card charge
is 60 days, and most scam artists know this.)
If you encounter any of these
symptoms, proceed cautiously. Ask for written information to be sent to
you; any legitimate travel company will be happy to oblige. If they don't
have a brochure, ask for a day or two to think it over; most bona fide
deals that are good today will still be good two days from now. If they
say no to both requests, this probably isn't the trip for you. Some other
advice:
If you are told that you've
won a free vacation, ask if you have to buy something else in order to
get it. Some packages have promoted free airfare, as long as you buy expensive
hotel arrangements. Others include a free hotel stay, but no airfare.
If you are seriously considering
the vacation offer and are confident you have established the full price
you will pay, compare the offer to what you might obtain elsewhere. Frequently,
the appeal of free airfare or free accommodations disguises the fact that
the total price is still higher than that of a regular package tour.
Get a confirmed departure
date, in writing, before you pay anything. Eye skeptically any promises
that an acceptable date will be arranged later. If the package involves
standby or waitlist travel, or a reservation that can only be provided
much later, ask if your payment is refundable if you want to cancel, and
don't pay any money you can't afford to lose.
If the destination is a beach
resort, ask the seller and also the hotel how far the hotel is from the
beach.
Determine the complete cost
of the trip in dollars, including all service charges, taxes, processing
fees, etc.
If you decide to buy the
trip after checking it out, paying by credit card gives you certain legal
rights to pursue a charge back (credit) if promised services aren't delivered.
