Part Of The Mangosteen Fruit Is Used For
Medicinal Purposes?
The mangosteen fruit possesses the following three key components: the pericarp (rind), seeds, and the pulp (sweet inner fruit). Xanthones and polysaccharides (the medicinally active ingredients) are concentrated in the pericarp of the mangosteen fruit and in very low insignificant concentrations in the pulp. Over 40 xanthones identified in the pericarp and for this reason, the pericarp plays a very important role of the preparation of our final product. What are Xanthones? Xanthones are a type of plant-derived nutrient also known as "phytonutrients." These phytonutrients have been demonstrated in numerous scientific studies to hold tremendous nutritional value. Found to exhibit strong antioxidant activity, xanthones disarm free radicals in the body and enhance and support the body's immune system. Although xanthones exist in small amounts in nature, they are found in concentrated amounts in the pericarp of the mangosteen fruit. There are over 40 known forms of xanthones naturally occurring in the pericarp; the two most widely studied are Alpha Mangostin and Gamma Mangostin. What Is The Most Potent Source Of Xanthones? According to the research, the most concentrated source of xanthones found in nature is in the pericarp (rind) of the mangosteen fruit. The majority of clinical studies on xanthones specify the xanthones used were from the mangosteen pericarp. While xanthones are found in various fruits and vegetables, outside of the mangosteen fruit, you will not find them in such highly concentrated levels. Does
The World Need Another Phytonutrient? Xanthones represent the very latest that nutritional science has to offer. Xanthones are more than a supreme antioxidant; they are a class of multi-functional phytonutrients poised to raise the bar in the nutritional arena! What

Mangosteen While Taking Other Medication? Many

problems where the supplement
appeared as the likely culprit. However,
because the benefits of mangosteen to chemotherapy patients, it
would be unwise to simply trust the
Oncologist's (cancer doctor's) memory on the mode of action of any
individual chemotherapy drug. Either ask your pharmacist to look up the
mode of action of your drug, or look it up yourself in the Physician's
Desk Reference (on the Internet). My experience is the Oncologist
will say: "No,
don't use it..." even if the mode of action of a chemotherapy drug
has nothing to do with the production of free radicals. This is
because, In most cases, they simply do
not know what the mode of action is, short of looking it up themselves.

Philippines are the worlds largest suppliers of mangosteen fruit and
also one of the biggest users of pesticides in the South Asia region.
Most of the pesticides are imported; The three main
insecticides used are the organophosphates monocrotophos,
methamidophos, and methyl parathion, all of which contain carcinogens
and other pathogens. Human
consumption of these pathogens over time could result in various deadly
diseases. "How clean is my mangosteen? The most nutritious
part of the mangosteen is the pericarp (rind or skin) because of its
rich xanthone content. Chemical pesticides sprayed on the
mangosteen tree will contact the fruits, especially the skin.
Determining how heavily sprayed the fruit is and what pesticides were
used is often difficult because most companies get their pericarp from
fruit canning companies. These companies can/bottle the pulp
(white inner meat) and throw away the skin as “waste material,” which
is then swept off the floor and sold to companies looking for
pericarp. Since these large canning companies buy their fruits
from many different farms, the quality of the pericarp will be
inconsistent. The cleanliness of the factory floors is also a concern
since most of these canning operations are in third-world countries. In fact, we pride
ourselves on it! Why would anyone market a product that does not
maintain quality standards all the way from harvesting to the end
consumer marketing. Our
mangosteen is grown on one large mangosteen farm in Thailand. It’s
grown without chemicals (no pesticides, herbicides, or
synthetic fertilizers). The mangosteen and its pericarp are
processed with cleanliness in mind. Although our product is not
labeled organic because the fields haven't been certified by a US
organic certifying agency, as our farms are not within the United
States, they are certified by BCS Oko-Garantie. This means they
meet the inspected procedures, applied inspection, and control
procedures of the Japanese Agricultural Standard of Organic
Agricultural Products (JAS) of the Japanese Ministry of Forestry and
Fisheries (MAFF). The Japanese organic standards are very similar
to those of the US and are even stricter in some areas. With our
product, you can rest assured no pesticides are being sprayed on
the pericarp and the processing of our mangosteen product is of
highest quality. So, the next time you think about purchasing your liquid mangosteen or any other mangosteen for that matter. Why would you consume some'/ without knowing exactly what it is? Through independent laboratory tests, we have determined the reason they do not want to disclose this information is the active ingredient of mangosteen is 7mg/ounce, which works out to 0.025% of mangosteen in each bottle, making the rest of the bottle 99.975% fruit juice. So ask yourself, why are you paying top dollar for a product at its core consists of apple juice, pear juice, grape juice, pear puree, blueberry juice, raspberry juice, strawberry juice, cranberry juice, cherry juice, and sodium benzoate? Company V also includes 12 full-spectrum vitamins, 65 essential minerals, decaffeinated green tea, and whole leaf aloe vera in its bottles of mangosteen. However, the sole purpose of consuming mangosteen is for the value of the xanthones. Natural Home Cures comes in 120 capsules per bottle with 515 mg of xanthones per capsule. One capsule of Natural Home Cures' Mangosteen would require you to take 72 ounces of Company X at the cost of $105, and with Company V you would need 8 ounces at the cost of $8.50. |
